Terms of Service
Effective Date: April 15, 2025
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Edible Finance. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent before creating an account or using the service.
2. Account Registration
Limited features are available without an account. Full access requires registration with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or otherwise compromise the app or its infrastructure.
- Scrape or redistribute lesson content without express written permission.
- Impersonate any person, entity, or Edible Finance staff.
- Transmit spam, malware, or other malicious content.
4. Free and Plus Tiers
Free Tier: Access to all learning pathways and content with ads displayed between lessons and a daily Piggy Bank engagement cap (4-hour cooldown after the daily limit is reached). No credit card required.
Plus Tier: $12.99/month or $59.99/year. Removes ads and daily cooldowns, and unlocks the AI Coach, offline mode, advanced challenges, and priority support. Billed on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time — cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, designs, code, characters (including Finn), lesson content, and branding are the exclusive property of Edible Finance, LLC. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of our service without express written permission.
6. Educational Disclaimer
Edible Finance provides financial education for general informational purposes only. Nothing on the platform constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.
7. Third-Party Services
We integrate with Stripe, Supabase, Klaviyo, Google AdMob, Mixpanel, and other third-party providers. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or specific learning outcomes.
9. Limitation of Liability
Edible Finance, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amounts paid by you to Edible Finance in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Edible Finance, LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of our services.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of the State of Delaware.
12. Changes to These Terms
We will communicate material changes to these Terms via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
